Somnium Screening Questionnaire

In-lab Sleep Study

An overnight sleep study, or Polysomnogram (PSG), is a simple, non-invasive and painless test used to diagnose and evaluate a variety of sleep disorders. Various electrodes are used to monitor the patient’s airflow, heartbeat (EKG), blood oxygen level, brain wave patterns (EEG), eye movements, and the movements of respiratory muscles and limbs.

Home Sleep Testing

A home sleep test involves the use of a portable monitoring device that is worn while sleeping to record snoring, breathing, oxygen levels and heart rate. The patient would come to our clinic and be instructed on how to put on the device by our sleep technician. After the night is over, the portable monitoring device is returned to our clinic and its recorded data will be promptly interpreted.

Treatment

There are a variety of different treatment options and we will work diligently with the patient to find an optimal solution for their disorder. The most common treatment is CPAP therapy. Somnium is a one-stop shop for patients and physicians. We carry a comprehensive inventory of treatment and related supplies. These state-of-the-art devices include CPAP devices, Bi-level devices, related supplies and accessories
